  • 2 pounds cubed stew beef
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (freshly cracked)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon beef bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 pounds golden Yukon potatoes (cut into chunks)
  • 2 cups sliced carrots
  • 1 large yellow onion (sliced)
  • 1 cup frozen sweet peas
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons water

Method
 

  1. Pour broth into crockpot, add beef. Sprinkle with garlic, pepper, salt, bouillon, and Worcestershire.
  2. Add potatoes, carrots, and onion on top of the beef.
  3. Cook on high for 4-6 hours, or low for 6-8 hours, until beef is tender.
  4. Add sweet peas.
  5. Make a slurry with cornstarch and water. Pour into crockpot and stir.
  6. Replace lid, turn to high, and cook for 10 minutes, stirring until thickened. Serve!

Notes

For a richer flavor, sear the beef before adding it to the crockpot.
