Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup cup unsalted butter room temp
  • 1/2 cup cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup cup milk
  • 2 tsp tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups cup all-purpose flour SEE NOTES
  • 1/2 tsp tsp salt
  • 1 cup cup mini chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. Prepare the cookie dough layers according to the recipe instructions.
  3. Layer the cake batter and cookie dough in the prepared pans.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cakes to cool before frosting and serving.
