  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and crumble.
  3. Rub chicken with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Sear chicken in an oven-safe skillet for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Reduce heat, pour barbecue sauce over chicken, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
  7. Sprinkle with green onions and red pepper flakes (optional). Let rest before serving.

Notes
