Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 8 oz penne pasta
Beef
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Method
 

  1. Cook penne until al dente, reserve 1 cup pasta water.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
  3. Brown ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Lower heat, stir in heavy cream and pasta water to desired consistency. Mix in Parmesan.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnish with Parmesan or parsley.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Adjust the amount of pasta water to achieve your preferred sauce thickness.
