  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method
 

  1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl.
  4. Pour honey garlic sauce over chicken. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Whisk cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry.
  6. Stir cornstarch slurry into the simmering sauce. Cook until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve over rice, garnished with green onions.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
